Meet Principal Mahoney

Dear Centennial Family and Friends,

Greetings! My name is Colleen Mahoney, and I am the new Principal of Centennial Elementary School. I have been in education for many years, as a teacher in grades PreK, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, Title 1 Reading Intervention, and Music. I have been an elementary school principal in Minnesota,Colorado, and Arizona.
I grew up and attended school in the Brainerd Lakes area, attended college at Bemidji StateUniversity and completed graduate school at the University of Wisconsin-Superior. I raised my family in northern Minnesota and have many relatives and friends in the Crosby-Ironton/Deerwood area. Joining the Richfield School District is somewhat of a “homecoming”for me—it is great to be back in Minnesota!

Serving as your new principal, it is my goal to provide a positive, rewarding school year for all students, staff, and families at Centennial. Working closely with the Centennial staff, we will work to meet individual student needs, focus on academic growth and achievement, and set high expectations as we inspire and empower each individual to learn, grow and excel.

We have some great back-to-school events planned, and I hope to meet you soon. Please also feel free to call or visit the Centennial School office at any time if you would like to discuss an issue concerning your child(ren).

I am looking forward to a great school year at Centennial!

Ms. Mahoney
